Alex Clifford is a Research Specialist I in the Stancill Lab in the department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at MUSC. A Charleston native, she is excited to return to the Lowcountry after having received her B.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Duke University in 2023.
Prior to joining MUSC, Alex was an undergraduate research assistant in the Landstrom Lab at the Duke University School of Medicine/Duke Children’s Hospital. There, she worked with induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes to study genetic arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death.
Outside the lab, Alex loves to read, walk her dogs, and listen to music.
