Drew, a research specialist in the Stancill Lab, recently moved from Minnesota with his partner while she completes the Perfusionist program at MUSC. In 2025, he graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. As an undergraduate, he conducted research with Dr. Lobo studying dietary vitamin A transport to the eye and worked as a nursing assistant in the observational and intensive care units at Methodist Hospital.

Currently, Drew is pursuing a master's degree in Medical Physiology and Pharmacology through the University of Florida College of Medicine. After completing his master's degree, he hopes to attend medical school and pursue a career in emergency medicine. 

Outside the lab, Drew enjoys competing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, playing chess, reading the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, hunting with his grandfather, and searching for the best ice cream parlor.
